Anya + Short

Monday 18th November / 4:45pm

A young couple’s journey to have a child brings up surprises in their history as they turn to science to help. Libby is a journalist who operates in the world of facts, while her enigmatic husband Marco, is the product of a mysterious culture that he refuses to discuss. After three miscarriages, Marco is compelled to reveal a curse from his past. His people called the Narval believe that anyone who marries outside of the community is cursed never to have children. A simple DNA swab opens a Pandora’s box of genetic testing, gene editing and questions of privacy.
