Derby Film Festival Presents

Selfi-sh + Short

Sunday 17th November / 6:25pm

This fascinating portrait of a relationship on the verge of ending see young, unsuccessful artist Saba trying to speak to her uncommunicative husband via the medium of film. Her husband has left her and the only way she can deal with the situation, and the silence, is to pour her thoughts and feelings into a film. This feature length ‘selfie’ explores the relationship now and through the use of old footage, in the past and brings up new emotions and old wounds. As they film progresses so it becomes more incisive and thoughtful. A real gem.
